“We should know,
sometimes we must let our kitchen to cook other’s dish”. “The more we yearn to
live better tomorrow, the more we become incapable of living today happily”
What makes you not Buddhist, Christian, Muslim, Hindu…………..?. The world
today is astonishingly the busiest and nobody can ensure security of you. Ask
some basic questions to ourselves very consciously, why we are here for? What
can we do here? How we are different from other living beings? We have purpose
to be born here, we are lucky, and we are brought with fate. How you felt for
the first time in the class room, where no friends are known to you, where it
seems world has given you nothing other than silence, that you keep on until
days passes away and gets closer to your species. Biological affect causes
change in human interaction with the ecology; it only verifies the proof of
natural strength to cause any trend in existence. The clump of bushes will be
gang of buglers if you are not serious in your consciousness and life. Our life
is precious and one should know how to value it. Life is nothing but series of
repetition of certain variety of experiments; we perform and get reasons to
answer. We come and go from the stage, where we demonstrate our role.
Ultimately the world for all is an empty end. Ask to your friend why he is not
Christian, Hindu… its definite different kind of reasons will emerge, though
some may be similar. Listen to my friend’s answer, “I am not Buddhist, or any
other than Hindu, because my parents are Hindu.” What can we draw is, place,
mode and time of brought up is the factor that handles who you are. We can’t
guarantee one will be Hindu in the land of Christians. When one feeds on food
of Muslim how can he be Buddhist? The point is, whether there is remarkable
influence of religious perception in an economy and living life of a person.
Why not? Though the effect is varying from one person to
another, from place to place and time to time, at least we can say there is
varying effect due to own concept and believes. Basically what rules us at the
terminal stage is our ultimate goal. Do we recognize our ultimate goal truly consciously?
If so, our goal, aim, and objectives are not only to make to the brim of
parents desire, be true obedient citizen of the nation, and make our life rest
on comfy sofa...but also to attain level of HAPPINESS, own-self and aid for
others happiness too. This world which you stand on now, is so cruel and no one
notices how cruel to us she is, our mother earth. She exhibits her wealth and
make us extract it from her but we are so pampered that we must have known, the
more we are to material wealth, the more unstable we become. Material wealth is
needed just to ignite the life and maintain consistency of living but want is
not needed. Want is the compound of ego, greed, aggression, selfishness, impassion,
hatred…but if we just eradicate this WANT , we are here with stable spirit with
needs on our finger tips. Own believe is one’s life. We are just born, grown
and prone to death. So in these countable days of life what makes you man is,
when you succeed in attempting your ultimate goal.
Now we are sure that there is bridge between
spiritual conscience and living material. So then linking this relation would
be smart, clever, and wise action. How? These two is pinned together by the
term GNH. GNH is gross national happiness. It is an economic parameter to
measure the progress of a nation, which small Himalayan country-Bhutan has been
guided by this philosophy for about past four decades. This device ensures that
every individual has right to be HAPPY. We are so blinded that market seems to
provide every wellbeing and happiness.
GDP, the widespread tool or criterion to measure nation’s development
is just the amount of goods and services that’s transacted through producers,
market and consumers.GNH takes in the amount of material wealth the nation can
produce and accordingly the associated happiness. Fact is, in GNH, spiritual
state perpetually accompanies the progress. It is based on belief that
realization of happiness is conditioned by our ability to achieve judicious
balance between material and spiritual needs and pursuits.GNH suggests that
progress should be understood as referring to the degree of gains we make in
improving happiness levels over periods of time. It recognizes the needs of the
human individual as going beyond the requirements of the body alone and calls
for equal attention to the needs of both the mind and body. We mercilessly
exploit resources and if we go so long with GDP, its harsh reminder that our
current way of economy is unfair, inequitable and unsustainable. With the
conviction that, happiness is the single most significant aspiration of every
citizen, measuring tool GNH is applied. It is basically having four popular,
prominent pronged strategies known as PILLARS.
1. Sustainable and equitable socio economic development,
2. Conservation of our fragile mountain ecology,
3. Preservation and promotion of culture and
4. Good governance.
Thousand beggars in the street can’t be exactly termed as
poor economy; it’s just deficient in material wealth. They won’t be happy
because they have to beg and beg for their survival and equally the Richie
won’t be happy because he has to go for further more accumulation of wealth,
though both of them aspires to be happy. So there must be equivalent link
between material wealth and happiness. Here our natural emotion has to do work.
Religion is one mean that can curb our intuitions in social phenomenon and
interaction but only if one’s religion comprises of the values which tells
something of sharing and equitability. More or less neglecting the effect of
factors one is brought up, all human has heart to understand and pass love to
who comes on their way. Concerning someone’s life is not at all foolish work
because we ourselves are one or other way dependent on one another. Optimizing
happiness with certain quantity of physical progress can be our aim of the
millennium. So the modern era seeks engineers who understand the heart of the
purpose of living and no doubt world is then designed with maximum happiness
with justifiable material wealth. f(x)=Y……………….f(GNH)=GDP………………………….or gross
international happiness(GIH)
