Prado-the vehicle which i never rode

Taking away the government Prado’s and office properties by ministers (as indicated gift) as reported by The Bhutanese is seriously ill action. The reasons can be as follows.
1)    First of all, at the verge of being succumbed to huge rupee crisis, we should be very generous to our nation that we have to cover up our dues. Publics were stopped from loans or vehicle imports etc. reasoning rupee crisis but keeping office stuffs and Prado for them is not match box price.
OL returning prado-spurce PDP page
2)    Secondly being GNH party or particularly Lyonchen a GNH advocator, it is very embarrassing and demotivating that they are trying to pull as much resource from the public.
3)    Prado and office properties are a government or public’s property indeed and it is a misuse of a power to take away as and when one resign and leave the office. It is a daylight serious corruption.
4)    Political leaders should not be bent towards that kind of honor, because in Bhutan there are lakhs of others who don’t even have money to travel in bus, leave alone driving own car. We have to think on behalf of those unlucky ones because being a true leader is to serve not to expect reward.
5)    The new government has to finance around 52 million (88 million market value-including taxes) as reported to buy another set of Prado’s for new ministers, what should this mean? Bhutan is not so rich looking at PIT of 925million and it takes it to 5.5% of PIT to buy Prado’s for ministers.
6)    Taking away government property home when one resign the office will set an unprecedented bad culture in our country’s political functioning.
OL taking the step to return the Toyota Prado is an excellent step. Some of us may think that it is a political step towards the nearing of election 2013. If we think very seriously, whether it is political notion or drive, after all returning the Prado-governments property to the public is generous and kind action. It not only upholds the law of public property misuse by authorities but also places people first and depicts the role for all our future political leaders. At this juncture it also means that little withdrawal of the pressure to rupee problem. We all citizens should solve our problems ourselves. It may threaten our sovereignty. I hope all ministers return our Prado’s back to us, we Bhutanese. In the remote corners of Bhutan I have seen people whose old purse has five ngultrum in it. Please let us know all and one another.
#i am big appreciator of DPT-but I am bit concerned in cases like this.
