The moment in our life, we are most vulnerable is when you are a victim of illness. Thats when being a patient you need a kindest help in your life. Everyone of us need that. Even getting a syringe prick will be painful as much as boulder on a head. So thats why our nurses are very important strangers in our lives. Well, not every significant things prove useful sometimes. I had this experience being in a maternity ward. I can't even imagine the cries of the few hours old babies let alone the labor pain of mothers. This ward has taught me women are the gods wonderful creature of this universe and they deserve the utmost respect. I salute all mothers of the world. Now i would hate a virgin girl. I mean i would be not so much bowing to a virginity. Every fresh isnot an always best. JDWNRH manernity ward had a nurses. I guess they were virgins. Atleast the way they handle mothers revealed. If i am not mistaken nurses are supposed to be soft and kind. And thats just what we need from their service. Not more. Many of us know what bishop score is, how dilation progresses and definitely the pain, atleast practically. The contraction caused so many pains in a mothers body, but still nurses wanted a patient to bow down infront of them for a check up. Frankly who won't know to follow up with CTG and check mothers opening. The difference would be the personal kindness. We would beg for our nurses for that and they deserve some allowances for the kindness. Being a patient pains comes anytime, and even in the middle of the night. I was very sad that nurses on duty slept like a pig. When call for some assesment of the patient, they come with a grin. If my daughter ever becomes a nurse i would rather teach her kindness more than a dose and medicines. Ofcourse through my medical friends i know that attending to a large number of patients makes them exhausted. But i feel this is the time they have to play beyond their role and capacity because they are best nurses in the world. They would be not only respected as a staff nurse but as a person and human. Later is a respect they earn.
All nurses are not same. Birth Centre has the best nurses in JDNRH, i assume. Even the tottaly exhuasted mothers regains energy from their kindness. To push a baby through birth canal is not an easy task. Their pains are more than whole lot of intestines coming out from their body. Just imagine, we can't bear a constipation even. Birth Centre nurses menifested their care and kindness. Energy came in this form were more stronger. Finally the the first worldly (kay-birth) matter came to an end.
P.S-every nurses are not same so please don't mind if you are a kind nurse.
