Teacher is a guru, he who touches the soul of many young pupils. A true teacher is he who teaches the lessons and values of life. He who shall transform their students life is a real Teacher.
It is sad to observe the reality of life and specially in Bhutan, Teachers are being not so much regarded. When the top performers opt for Engineers and Doctors, the nation's values are at stake. Many has resorted to teaching the subject than a lesson.
Meanwhile, there are some who has the heart of a teacher. Who has a passion in teaching. To whom the marks and grades are not a matter. I have a friend who has been a teacher through contract employment. He even taught many kids at YDF tuition
He currently is no more a teacher but what touched me is that, he still has will to teach. He has a will to guide them.
Teacher is a friend and a comrade who will take you to a garden of learning. He is still in touch with his students and exchanges messages. One such messages are as uploaded. He taught them in classes 5 or 6. Now the students are in class X. They will open the Gift Box of his Farewell in Thimphu if all qualifies.
The students have assured him to work hard and qualify. All a teacher wants is his students succeed.
He is still hunting for a regular job. We joked about sitting for an interview along with his students.
