The Floating Statue

The ChumoPhu Nye which is grossly named as Chumbu Nye in Paro is sometimes told as the Tsari Nyipa and the Nye is indeed very sacred religious site. Located along the Mo Chhu (Chhu Mo) of Paa Chhu, I interpreted as the Nye situated at the mountain base of Mo Chhu-Chhu Mo of Paa Chhu or Chhumo to be termed as the Chum Phu Nye.
I had an opportunity recently to visit this holy temple with its nangten as the statue of Dorji Phamo. The statue is said to be floating on air. Kenyer narrated that Uu Nam Kha Ma Rep, Zhab Sa Kha Ma Rey (the head untouch of sky and feet untouch of ground)
Although the blessing seems enormous, the journey had taken my group in surprise with its substantial length. While we already left the packed lunch on the road point, the kids on our backs aggravated the toughness of the gentle sloppy journey. The journey ended with the last steep climb just to touch the corner of the temple before all the energies being drained out. Our exhausted stomach got the refuel with warm welcome tea from the Kenyer. I almost ate up all the khabzey in the bowl in hungry mood.

It is a must visit destiny, if you have not done yet. So if you are planning it for the first time, I wish to brief you little about it. From Bondey entering the Paro Town you just take the right road in the middle of the Paro Town cutting away from taking the straight road to Lango. So after taking the right turn drive the road some eight hundred metres  to meet the bridge crossing the river towards Kuenga HSS. The good road terminates at one Footway Bridge to diverge towards the road point to Chumphu Nye.  Take the rough road untill the termination to start the hike. The walk takes around 4hours for family treking. Please don't forget to take lunch or energy drinks if you are not some kind of mountain hikers.

The police on duty did not allow us a camera inside and therefore would appologise for having no photoes.
