Mines and Minerals

Pre-Constitution I don't bother what has happened because what we owe to respect is the Constitutional Clauses and it is why post Constitution era matters.

"Mineral Resources belongs to the People of Bhutan"

We do not have any ambiguity in who is the Citizens of Bhutan but who all must own  and in what ways & shares is ambiguous.  Still with our conscience it is ultimately judged that the maximum benefits of the natural resources must be dispersed among all the citizens.

This is compelled to understand that natural resources located anywhere in Bhutan belongs to the people living anywhere in Bhutan. Thus a gold deposit in Trashigang is also the gold belonging to the People of Haa.

Thus the government of the day is accountable to respect constitution by nurturing the minerals or natural resource guidelines and device a mechanism to give public the maximum benefits.

We must thank all our Investors for managing and taking risks in Mines & Minerals business but now they must also respect constitution and handover the Profit Shares to public by around 99.9%.

It is shocking to hear some 30% being divided amongst 2000 people and a single man gets 70%. This is exactly what our constitution don't want. Thanks to Senate Like Hearing happened in our National Assembly. Of Course some were just prepared to read, the genuine concerns are left around soil of Mine Locations but not inside that hall.

Jersey Cow will give the same milk who ever milks them. I am sure it will rarely matter for our Mines and Minerals whoever operates them.

SMC will also provide Jobs and if we talk about efficiency it is just a matter of leadership. Even if the Sales go down the Minerals Shall remain in the deposit. It is not manufacturing Unit, thus a completely different context of business.

It is unfair to our constitution to allow the Rich use their money power to dig profit of as much as 70%. It is real gamble. They put a thousand there and get back Ten Thousand by just sitting & hitting a target where targets are on their nose.

I plea our investors to invest in manufacturing, value adding business, Internet and Computer Businesses but not in the Jersey Milk which is so easy to harvest.
