Recent Barama accident has also caused me thinking. While India has been my second mother land after being graduated from its education and owning many good Indian friends, but I condemn the barbaric mob actions of Assamese burning out two trucks.
I totally sympathise the loss of a school boy and stand deeply in condolence with the family. Its painful to loose one's beloved but even more painful to loose them in tragedy.
The accident happen this way, one has no control. It is not a murder. Assam highway adds to it, owing to more traffic and smoother & straight plain roads. Accidents has caused life to many in Bhutan as well. A drunk driver ran over a young girl at changzamtok leading to spot death. She was the daughter of my late friend. A DCM eicher splashed the brain of young boy crushing his head at olakha. A father drifted wheels of bus over his son's body at lobesa. Bolero killed a student in Kanglung. Many cases more. But no single Bhutanese has resort to burning cars or beating up driver. There are laws of the land for everyone.
But why they burn trucks? Rumors are high on driver also being burnt alive. We won't like to travel the assam road. I have lots of bitter experiences. It is like a prey running through a predators land. Illegal collection of fees and fining you cost of million eggs for killing a hen by road side. That's their attitude. They will never change for us. #We must build our own road.
