Minerals

Now the Constitution is in force, anything which deviates from it, must be brought to the track. That is exactly the role of the democratic government.

Ofcourse the private role is important but this is not the correct pool for the private people to swim. Bhutan's economic model won't exactly fit the theories of world economic and commerce books when it comes to state business.

How the state running the mines would affect efficiency? The question on the desk is the ownership and therefore huge revenue foregone by the state to make few citizens rich. Why should we spell it, the mineral resources belongs to the people of Bhutan, if at all the ownership is to be kept with these few people who have already extracted state's money a lot?

There is no need of middle chord, at least this time. It is clear, the mines and minerals belongs to people just like electricity. The state must own and run.
I am very clear even the few companies who depend on the resources of the state to generate revenue must be revoked to re distribute their shares. I don't have any questions for the companies like Insurance or Banks etc, but definitely the cement Industries, mines, quarries  need a relook to give away our true respect to the constitution.

If we don't do this, it is proven we are mere lip service people.
