What is there in the Pay Hike?

Much awaited Pay Hike reported  as money bill is set to pass the wall. Kudos to the cabinet for recognising our Teachers and Health Professionals.

Even the vehicle quota monetisation comes in as more practical and reliable solution. I am even more wowed with the complements provided to the electric vehicle.

While GSP & ESP did not get the minimum income 13500 considering a Nu 450 wage as promised, it is somehow to be acknowledged as compensated through HRA of Nu 3500. The ceiling for the gratuity at 1.5m could have been kept as it is. God blessed these high end officials.

Above all, I think the Pay Package is well tuned. We expect more accountability and responsibility from these section of our citizens hence. Hopefully, there will be some mechanism to control the market prices.
